The Ontario Mounted Special Service Unit (OMSSU) provides equestrians with the opportunity to serve their communities through volunteerism and seasonal employment. OMSSU offers Service Horse Accreditation, Mounted Safety Support, Ambassadorship, Search and Rescue/Recovery Services, Equine-Based Emergency Response Training and Deployment to every community in Ontario. We inspire health and safety through our Educational Programs among equine enthusiasts both mounted and non-mounted. At all times, OMSSU performs our duties with respect, dignity, honour, integrity, and pride.
